Well count me in among the many who feel that they have some insight to share to the internet masses. Hopefully as time goes by, this blog will be appreciated by some significant chunk of the populace as a place where reason, logic, perceptiveness, and morality are the characteristics of my writing style. And just as important, new perspectives and original ideas are provided, adding to the collective wisdom of freedom loving people everywhere.
For now I'd just like to comment on the name "The Gracious Patriot". First, I love America. Of course there are flaws, but only accepting perfection is unrealistic. It should be pretty obvious how hard it is to have a true democracy (or republic) with freedom of opportunity for all. Borrowing from chaos theory, strong central governments seem to be great attractor. Second, I think gratitude is very important for a civilized society. As we lose gratitude, selfishness creeps in creating a narcissistic individual.
